2024 Impact Report

From our inception in 2019, the Meredith Haga Foundation primary focused our programs on just two states; Virginia and Tennessee.

Starting in January, 2024, we started offering our programs and services to all 50 states and all transplant centers.

As of the end of the calendar year, 2024, we have helped living organ donors and recipients in 19 states, we are working with 28 different transplant centers, and helping a total of 25 donors.  Additionally, we provided quilts to 42 dialysis patients.

Through our education and outreach program, we spoke at several high schools and universities in the Northeast Tennessee area, reaching students on the importance of organ donation.  We were able to perform nursings rounds at several of the area hospitals, reaching the various professionals of the medical community.

As outlined in the Board of Directors page, we are a 100% volunteer based organization. We view ourselves as another “tool in the toolbox” for transplant centers to help increase the number of living donations each year. We view our success not only in the number of living donors we have directly helped financially, but also in the number of people that we reach with the message that organ donation saves lives and living organ donation allows them to live as well as extended the life of another.
